Session Notes
Introduced once more to the portable flash which I am set on using for my shot in Birmingham town city centre.
Nikon SP900 -NikonSP5000 replaced by Nikon SP910
After watching video thinking to shoot my subject against a lighter background in city and blur out crowd. Though the crowd will provide a pleasant aesthetic tone for my subjects charity and sociable nature.
Use sunlight as a main light source and small flashlights as area lights.
Deeper in the sky - underexpose the background by changing exposure. there make flash brighter om camera.
Turn down shutter by 2 stops turn up flash by 2 stops
The mirror is a bad reflector
Whitecoat, sheet or card is a better reflector
SP900 is powerful
SP5000 is decent for portrait
Flash Controls

Master - controls other connected flashes
turn wheel yo turn the exposure up on flash
You can place a "Gel" colour filter over a flash for aesthetic tone. (figure a)
Set camera to slow shutter then paint scene with flash and light each areaof subject to get light effect you want.
